Blink not always stoping time when jumping in mid air

I am finding that if you jump in mid air (top floor or similar) that the moment Blink kicks in, it does not stop time at all. I understood you could do this but is it really possible ?

I am trying to cross to the building on the other side and the only way to do it with a double blink distance.

Don't press any movement button. It is always work well. You do something wrong.

Is it fully upgraded?

Yes it is fully upgraded. I might be as Diyavol says, I might still press a movement key while trying to blink somewhere.

Blink can only work ONCE while in MID-AIR. Not twice.

While I tried jumping off a building and as soon as I left the roof I was not touching any keys. Just about a few meeters befor hitting ground I tired it, it worked. However, when time stopped because I was looking for a safe place to land, I pointed flat surface but as soon as I appeard there, I crashed landed. It felt as if my momentum was kept so no matter where I would have landed, I would have landed with the same force and speed.
