is it more merciful to KILL Jindosh? (SPOILERS)
i noticed something more disturbing about this level when i tried to play without killing anyone. upon strapping him into the chair and frying his brains out i noticed him begging me to kill him "p-please... kill me!... make me... die". now i don't know about you but the way he said this made my heart drop into my stomach. my victorious expression turned grim and i quickly slid my blade across his throat. furthermore if you point the heart at him and squeeze it, she'll tell you the gruesome details of his suffering. something along the lines of "he can't hold a thought for more than a few seconds, he can barely remember... but when he does he is filled with rage and despair. the great cathedral of his mind... in ruins" now this was just too hard for me to hear. i don't know, something about taking away someone's life seems more merciful to me than to take away that which makes their life worth living, forcing them to endure a life of torment. what do you think?

Does he deserve such mercy ? Debatable. One might say Jindosh is just victim of his mental allignment, all logic without feelings. (Sound familiar, Sokolov ?) , but even so, best moments of Dishonored series is when it's clearly stated that "spared" victims would be better off dead... [

Every time you think Jindosh deserves some compassion, just go and confront one of his Clockwork Soldiers and see if it gives you the same in return. Plus, killing him only increases the chaos rat misery for Dunwall as well, so leaving him alive as a vegetable is the best for the city.

Well, I would say his brain deserves to fry in that chair. He is so over his head that he locks his own mentor (Sokolov) to work for him. Plus, if you're doing the achievement/non-lethal gameplay, it's better to do the chair thing. Also, knocking him out without him knowing you are in the mansion is also a satisfying way to do the mission. You get an achievement for it (if you care about getting achievements).

Dishonderd always made sure to have the non-lethal option be just as bad. Just remember High Overseer Cambell or what's his name from 1.
We are not in pink cotten land here, alright?

At the end of the day, it's just a silly video game. Ethics do not apply, do whatever you want :D

I'm hoping that his mind will somehow restore over time. Poor guy just wanted to make some toy soldiers. And kill a lot of people in the process, but that's just a tiny detail.

Jindosh is the one guy I almost always kill, even in low-chaos; kinda like almost always curing Hypatia, even in high-chaos. It's just so much crueler to leave him alive.

I killed him, but mainly due to me be frustarated by the end of the level, and thinking damn it! This gut has got to go! I proceeded to knock him out, bringing him to the area that opens in the jungle below, and tossing him into it. It was a long fall. :)
