could be a recent bug I suppose, since I've finished my non lethal achievement, nest keepers get torched now. hope someone else knows.
I am just amazed about such parasitic creatures.
Similar like for the xenomorph (The alien from the Aliens movie).
Or like the mango worms in RL.

Luckily they mostly infest dogs or other mammals. Still humans can be used as hosts too.
But the bloodflies are pretty interesting. Using corspes to breed new flies... I cannot even imagine how disgusting those infested apartments must smell. Furthermore I wonder how they can control the Nest Keeper.
I mean he seems to be part of the hive mind, still he can converse, even if in an insane manner. But he sees himself still as a person, because he talks about "them" when he is refering to the bloodflies.
"They need your blood and I gonna take it for them", or something like that.
I wonder why they count as kill since taking such poor creatures out would be some kind of mercy. The human has clearly no more control about his actions but is just a dangerous oponnent for any other human. Refering to how difficult it is to take them out in open combat.
I once shot them 3 darts into the head. oO
However, the weepers also counted as kill in DH1, so it's fair enough.
Like with the Xenomorphs, I am really happy that bloodflies are just a product of imagination.
