Dishonored 2 : crash, crash and crash again! (SOLVED)
EDIT: my crashing issues were related to my overclocking

Random crash to desktop every 5 to 10 minutes, with no error message.
My spec: GTX 1080, 6700K, 32GB ram.
I keep my system Windows 10 64bits and Nvidia drivers up to date.
And the game itself is updated automatically by steam.
Don't know what else to do...

Have you set the Dishonored 2 EXE to run in Windows 7 compatibility mode and running it as administrator?

You sure it crashes because you noticed that bug?
I've noticed that with FOV 110, carried bodies often show a view "inside the texture", so into nothing.
But I still didn't got any crashes just because of that issue.

No, i'm not sure... But i played more than +25h without any problem. It happened recently.

For me it's every 5-30 minutes. After it does that 2-4 times, it let's play longer session that last from 1-9 hours.

Thank you for the tip, I will give a try...

Pity to face so many technical issues, it ruins the game play and we can't enjoy the nice story...
I had finished the first Dishonored and it was perfect technically. What happened?
Maybe their new 3D engine is faulty because we are too many to complain about crashes!

Well I had crashes before I switched to compatibility mode.
I wanted to perform a non-lethal way to get rid of Luca Abele (first run with Corvo), but it always crashed, when I put the knocked out Duke onto the bed, so his double can take care of him.

That was resproducable. I was only to get over that sequence with the compatibility mode settings and running the game as administrator.
Even if that is odd, it wasn't a big deal to set it up like that for going further.

Not saying that this should be necessary in the first place.

I had the exact same problem, it kept crashing every 5 or 10 minutes.
My system is also up to date driver wise, with or w/o overclocking the game just kept crashing.
It's so bad I just had to refund it. Didn't want to, the game itself is very nice gameplay wise.

That's bad. :(
I wish it would run as good as it does for me.

Sorry mate. :steamsad:

I finally managed to find the origin of my random crashing issues: it was because of my graphic card which was a bit too high overclocked.

After decreasing a little my graphic clock speed, the game is rock stable now (6 hours of playing).

Sorry for my mistake.
I will update my steam review for this game from negative to positive :)

Why is this relevant to a solved thread from January?
