Only black screen after starting up the game

After starting up the game and after the first lodaing screen only the black screen appears. I already played the game in the past and it worked flawlesly now it only end up with the black screen, any advice how to fix it ?

Same problem, to anyone with an idea on how to fix : sound still works and icons and frame counter turns small

It sounds like the game isn't tying itself correctly to the resolution of your monitor. I was able to resolve this issue by going into GeForce experience, changing the game to Windowed or Borderless Fullscreen, launching the game, and then changing the resolution back to fullscreen.

ok I fixed it by starting the game via geforce experience and with windowed option

delete user config

C:/users/"name"/Saved Games/arkane studios/dishonored 2/base

you should see a folder labeled savedgame and a CFG file named dishonored2config.cfg

This worked for me but...I just left it in "Full screen Borderless" instead of reverting back to "Full screen"...is there a good reason to revert?
Anyway, THANK YOU for the simple solution.
