[SPOILER] How to stupidly easy beat Delilah in the painting without letting her see you.
I myself complained about extremely hard and non-intuitive final battle for non-lethal ghost playthrough. Happens I simply wasn't looking for solution good enough. The right way to do it is both not apparent and stupidly easy.

Enter the painting in stealth mode and don't bother with the replicas (including the one on the throne) at all. Turn right, drop down and turn right again into a nook with a dead end. The right side of that nook is crystal spire. Guess what? It is climbable. Climb it all the way to the top to find the real Delilah overlooking the location, totally oblivious to your presence. Choke or kill her as you want. Voila!

Yep I recall having great frustration with that battle on a non lethal run before I discovered her alternate location.

Yeah. Took me several reloads before I've moved to the higher ground to take a look around...Well played, Arkane, well played! Dishonored is still 'dishonored', even when you get something that is seemingly a 100% 'epic final boss-fight'. There's ALWAYS a way around! 8P

I admit, I actually burst out laughing because Delilah being way out in secret was well played.

My complaint is that no matter how stealthy I try to be, when I approach the real delilah (on the slab above the painting) and choke her the other clones instantly appear and I'm 'seen'. I'm VERY disappointed because I've made it through the entire game (as Emily) with NO kills and without being 'seen' by ANYBODY, but the moment I start choking the real Delilah the three remaining clones appear and I'm 'seen'. I'll give climbing the spire a try, but so far all my efforts to maintain a 'ghost/stealth' have been destroyed every time I try to non-lethally subdue Delilah. :(

Run back to the black market and buy some stun mines. Delilah will wait.

Does a sleep dart to the back of the head affect Delilah?

Before i knew where the real one was, i stealth choked all the clones without being spotted.

You can spot the clones amongst the other statues and choke them out in an order where the other ones don't see you and won't become active. I did it as Corvo with stop time in one of instances (using the rest of stop time to get back in cover). I managed to subdue the last clone and stay in cover when the real Delilah came down and choke her without being spotted as well.

I've not tried it as Emily yet. I was doing a second playthrough as high chaos with her and just killed the real Delilah without dealing with the clones.

I just took the original poster's advice and went back to when I first entered the painting before I took out any of the Delilah clones. I climbed the spire, choked the real Delilah from behind and none of the clones were alerted! I was able to carry Delilah back through the painting portal and place her on the (corrupted) throne all without losing my ghost/stealth status throughout the whole game.

UGH this is SO good. It made me feel oblivious to the surrounding after finishing the game, tried it after that, and I feel it's SUCH a smart way to give you another option. Just another way this game manages to be awesome.

Exploration is almost always rewarded with interesting stuff in this game :) In this case, it's REALLY important to explore before tackling the enemies. Though they're quite fun on their own, if you want to not have to fight them, this is really the only way.
