Anyone else's ending refuse to play?

I save my family member...then...black screen....occasional footstep sound.....nothing....forever.

What an awesome ending.

I got the same thing playing Corvo on high chaos. It worked fine my first playthrough before any patches.

This is apparently a bug in NG+. It also prevents people from making a NG++, since there's no epilogue autosave.

I had the same problem, but I might have a fix for you.

Problem is that the journal/objective tab hasn't update correctly, this happen for me when I took the secret passage through the safe room instead of going through the elevator.

The objective to actually kill the target never appeared in the journal.

So even after killing the boss and "ending" the game, the game don't finish and black screens because it is missing log/objective entries on the kill.


To fix this:

-Reload a save before going the safe room route or backtrack down to the bottom of the elevator for it to update.

This fixed it for me, hope it helps

I'll try that. But I didn't go in through the safe room. I didn't even get to kill the last boss. I used the heart thing, she vanishes, then I revive my family member....annnndd....black screen.

Still got an achievement for the rescue and finishing the game with one character though :\

It may still be the same problem, just where it skipped a objective somewhere else.

Have you tryed to go into the painting and killing the boss before you revive your family member?

Still waiting for performance. There hasn't been an update for a long time now, and I'm worried.

Tried the leaving the area, going down the lift etc. Didn't work.

The lift thing will only work if it's that objective that broke, you might have to check your journey to see whats missing.

For the painting it's in the throne room, giant painting in the middel of the room. It rips open after you use the heart on the boss. Go through it and kill her a 2nd time and come back out and revive your family member.

Weird. After I confront her with the Heart, she vanishes and leaves a checkpoint in the distance. Nothing to do with the painting. Can't gain any interaction with it.
