Black Screen instead of end game cinematic

After I sit on the throne or after I revive Corvo as high chaos emily on new game+ normal mode all I get is a black screen...

I really need help with this, I can't finish the playthrough without the cinematic...

Well, that's bizarre. It almost sounds like a movie file is missing or something. I would contact support for that. But Bethesda Support is absolutely awful, so good luck.

Same thing is happening to me. It doesn't matter which option I choose at the end.

I had the same problem, but I might have a fix for you.

Problem is that the journal/objective tab hasn't update correctly, this happen for me when I took the secret passage through the safe room instead of going through the elevator.

The objective to actually kill the target never appeared in the journal.

So even after killing the boss and "ending" the game, the game don't finish and black screens because it is missing log/objective entries on the kill.


To fix this:
-Reload a save before going the safe room route or backtrack down to the bottom of the elevator for it to update.

This fixed it for me, hope it helps

If you don't have a saved file, just go back and take the elevator up instead. I just went back through the secret passage area, turned on power, took the note off the elevator, went up, and then revived Emily Kaldwin which worked if you had already defeated Delilah and all

I'm a bit late here but I just ran into this, very frustrating. What I found to fix it is to not put the skull in the throne initially. Use the heart first, returning her soul, during the first fight sequence. She then escapes into the painting and you can then use the skull in the throne before entering the painting for the final fight sequence.
