Emily is actually fantastic for low-chaos, I chose her for my ghost run. Domino is OP either way, and I dunked everything into that and mobility bonuses (including bonecharm crafting) and shadow-walk (And meserize at the very end, but that wasn't as useful as I'd hoped). It's kind of absurd how fast she can put a whole map to sleep without anyone realizing something was up. Corvo doesn't have anything close to that kind of stealthy room-clearing power, especially without killing.
I just... I could never take Corvo seriously but Mr. Hoodie-Vest McEdgelord even less so.
I can see why you'd think that. Overall though, I wouldn't want to run into someone wearing it. It does give me the creepy unhinged killer vibe. :P
sounds like what I did. I picked Emily first as well, came out the gate killing people, but then a high chaos run didn't "feel" right for her. I started going the non lethal route about the same point. Then when I did another playthrough with her, I went completely non lethal plus no powers. Saved my murderous rampage for corvo.
Second run was low chaos, ghost, clean hands with Corvo, who fit like a comfortable old shoe. Emily has some handy powers, but I'm liking Corvo better. That being said, I liked Daud better by comparison in D1.
Third run was high chaos with Emily, aka "Princess throws a temper tantrum." Like Diablente, Emily just didn't feel right to me for high chaos. Some of it was the voice acting and lines... like Emily was trying trying too hard... trying to talk herself into being an angry, murderous ♥♥♥♥♥, but was really just going through the motions. The ending choice (you know which one I chose!) did leave me feeling traumatized for several minutes while I sat through the credits. I cured that by promptly launching into run #4 with Corvo again (Ghost, Clean Hands, polish off some cheevs).
Still haven't gotten to play Emily though; I want to play her even now but with the new patch the game keep crashing when I try.
same here. Though I stopped because her mother started to say how disappointed she was in her daughter.
Playstyle? Stealth.. although it is very hard to keep the deaths to absolute minimum because the AI reaction speed is so fast.
And then I moved on to high chaos Emily. Damn, her Domino power is real fun for a killing machine! :D The heart bothered me with its cold accusations, though.
