crank wheel glitch in mission 7

just wonder if anyone else run into this glitch in mission 7, there is a part where you have to attach a crank wheel then lower the water in the present time to get to a rune, but my game is bugged so the wheel only shows up in the past but disappeared when I switch over to present time. My wheel disappear when I swatich back to the present time but I manage to get the wheel to the other room by throwing it but it won't let me turn the wheel in present time so the room stay flooded and I can't pick up the rune

just to check, because I'm not sure I'm parsing your wording right:

- you've thrown the wheel through the hole in the wall in the past (this will make it appear in the present)

- in the present, you've attached the wheel to the pipe underwater, but it is not turning

is this correct? just want to make sure you've hit all the steps before we assume it's broken. i haven't run into that glitch personally but I have one of those outlier pcs that runs this game basically flawlessly.

Go all the way to attaching it to the pipe underwater. Rotate.

Actually it's buggy. I've got the achievement without even using the wheel. I've noticed it on the floor in the past, but did not understand what to do with it or where to put it. I saw the rune in the present, dived, got to the floating chest (or whatever that thing is), climbed up using nearby pipes, took the rune, dived out. Counted as 'drainind water in the basement' achievement for me.

May be I was not supposed to get on top of the chest or may be the description is wrong.

yeah I just watch some video online, definitely glitched. I can attach the wheel in the present time but it won't let me turn the valve. Have to switch to the pass but there is barely any water. The rune stay on top of the crate and float way to high for me to pick up.
