Safe Code Clockwork-Level doenst work - bug?

I just started the Clockwork Mansion level and found the first safe in this office next to the station.
There is a letter saying that the safe code is written down somewhere in the office. Then i found the chalk board with 2 numbers on it, the third is crossed out and not readable. My coe is X18, missing the first number. When i try this code on the safe in the office it wont work. So probably its the wrong code or is it a bug?
Unfortunately i'm thinking the last.

Any solutions?

yeah, i did. It doesnt work.
I even tried it the other way around - meaning the 8 first and the 1 second and the crossed out last, but it wont work.

There is another post from someone who encountered the same bug. I cannot remember if they got help. Maybe use search?
I did it just now (X78) and luckily it worked (0). Most bugs in this game are a matter of lucky/unlucky.

I have ran into this bug.

Mine is X75

Went through the ten combinations and it does not work.

X74 it should have been on the chalk board.....

Your pictures clearly show "4" and not "5" :)

It's a 4, not a bug just wrong inputted number.

Damn lol. Anyway, I solved the issue so all good. But it definitely does not look like a 4 in my opinion.
