Sam Rockwell's involvement
Why did Sam Rockwell voice Mortimer Ramsey? I don't get it. What's point? It's such a minor voice role so why bother getting a mainstream movie actor...

Probably because acting is crap work, and he needed the money. Also remember: there's been a voice actor's strike going for the last year, I don't know whether he would have done the work in 2014 or 2015, but generally they record voice work long before the game actually finishes up and ships. So... because acting? I doubt very much they got him "because" he was a big name, but more because he fit their needs.

Sure, but it still seems odd. It couldn't have paid that well, and if it did, it wouldn't make sense from a production perpective. Why pay somone more because of who they are, for a bit role, than be more cost efficient with a possibly experienced yet un-organized v/a.

Then again, maybe Sam Rockwell is fiscally irresponsible. Is he on Twitter? Somebody should ask him.

They have done it before. Carrie Fisher was the alternate street speaker if you killed the first guy in the Return to the Tower mission in Dishonored 1. So people only heard her briefly during mission 8. They cast who they think will fit the role.
