It's a low spec machine.

This game is on an *incredibly intense* engine.

It has a hard time running on HIGH end desktops. Play it on a proper desktop with a good cpu and gpu.

since it is "betapatched" it runs better with individual optimization. try some 3-buffering in the grafic-menu(is it called so?). even on good rigs it struggles sometimes

I appreciate you may be a peasant with little money. There's no shame in that what so ever. I'm one myself and only recently got got a borderline mid-spec desktop and can barely run it. You'll need to realise some things are going to be unplayable given your circumstances. I know it sucks, believe me I know.

and what is the point of this thread? a 940m was very low end even when it came out several years ago and was not really suitable for any demanding games even back then. why on earth would you expect that pos to play this game when it is not even remotely close to meeting min requirements. starting this thread is about as idiotic as asking why your Geo Metro cant tow a boat in the Rocky mountains.

and really you have some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ low standards as many games in your library run like crap and look like crap on the settings you have to use just to make them somewhat playable. I think you are foolish buying modern games especially if they are not heavily discounted as that is money you could put towards a half way decent pc.
