Also, ... you know for every single one of those devices, there's a way to disable them. You need to look around.
Aside from finding an alternative way into the vault (Of which there are two. Hint #1: Anton gives you a big tip before the mission, #2 take a dip in rune water), you can try:
1) Blinking / Far reaching directly next to the whale oil container. If the arc hasn't wound up yet, you should have just enough time to pull it out before the arc zaps you.
2) Summoning Rat Swarms / Dopplegangers next to the Pylon to exhaust it's supply of whale oil. This can be resource intensive, but it works.
3) For Corvo, slowing down time to make #1 easier, or possessing someone to then take out the power supply.
