I had the same thoughts on my first playthrough, you can give yourself enough time to explore or you can just leave knowing you left stuff behind and do another playthrough with the other character some time later like i did.
I liked doing it that way so much it's the only way to go!
@Hoppingdeth There's a better way. I'll let you figure it out.
Yeah I'm 50 hours in now (although game on says 30ish) but oh well. So I tend to spend ages on maps. I must say I do like how well hidden some things are in Dishonored 2 even compared to the original Dishonored. Had gotten used to games being dumbed down over the last 12 or so years.
I don't know how much I really care about coins because I don't really use them. I've never bought ammo or equipment in either game, literally the only thing I use my money for is upgrades and even then theres a lot of upgrades I ignore.
As I'm also for the most part a no powers guy (I use blink on the basis that a lot of blinkable places could be climbed if the mechanics allowed) so I always have tons of runes I never use. I get hung up on finding bone charms like yesterday I found Healthy Appetite the basic improved food healer and I thought yes excellent! But then remember actually across both games I've never actually used a Sokolov/S&P Formula so will it really benefit me?
I'm wondering if there's a way onto the roof. I've been about 3 feet away at the right angle but it seems to be skywalled.
I find myself avoiding a lot of powers, too, or at least using them sparingly. Dark Vision is useful, but a little obnoxious. I almost never need the health potion, but I can tear through mana, especially early on. Not sure about the roof - I think I made a half hearted attempt to explore boundaries, and don't recall being able to get to the roof. The view would be stunning because it's a really beautiful sunrise.
No, but that glass in the very first entrance room, before curiosity kills the cat and you pull the lever because "well, there's no other rooms in this place!" is breakable. That's the beginning of the not-alerting-Jindosh route; from there there's two different ways to finish it.
Wiki should tell you how much coin per level, and the stats page in the main menu screen will let you know how much you've collected so far.
I wouldnt spend too long in there first play through. The mansion isnt really that big, but can certainly be a bit daunting on your first run. Think I even abandoned a rune on my first try.
Indeed.
But that way don't work without powers.
Somehow I still got through without him knowing my presence.
I let Emily pull the first lever and immediately walked through the door with her, before the Clockwork Soldier even realized Emily was there.
Afterwards, it's tricky, since you go to the great hall with the arc pylon and the guard always pulls it up and somehow Jindosh knows when you activate the elevator, as long as the guard pulled up the arc pylon.
You can avoid that, by going through a window on the left (Emily says something about the "room behind the walls", if you do that).
When this room is followed to the end, you can get to the great hall with the arc pylon, but without the event where the guard pulls it up.
Anyways, I just want to confirm that you can combine the achievement of Jindosh not knowing that you were there, with a Flesh and Steal run.
(I used "Steal" as my Emily is a pretty cleptomaniac XD)
That's how I did it with no powers, but I didn't think we were talking about a no powers run. Regardless, marshmallow decided to just tell him instead of letting him get the joy of discovery.
Yeah the level is almost so complex that I want to give up now I've finished the two objectives. It's like frustrating abstract tetris. I probably could find all those rooms but hours and hours of trial and error and coffee and pulling my hair out.
Once you're in Jindosh's lab, you can hide directly opposite from him and snipe his ass (lethal and non-lethal both work.)
