Best Weapon Upgrades (Corvo) High Chaos No Powers
I'm doing a no powers run with Corvo and was wondering what you'd recommend for the Master Upgrades.

It depends on your personal playstyle. Go with the upgrades that aid with how you've been playing, or choose those that help with the type of enemy you've been having trouble with.

Don't really know at this point. I'm using a newgame+ save, and have all the blueprints. I'm really just undecided on the masters.

I figure the mech. sold. sword buff is more useful than the witch buff, as I'll have a hell of a time trying to get above them.

And the ancient howling arrows, would take care of them anyway.

But what should I do for the crossbow and pistol?

Crossbow?
The auto-target system, with which you can lock onto 3 targets at once is pretty nice.
But as they target the torso, it's only some extra damage.
Sometimes one bolt kills, but I can only speak of my "very hard" experience.

Haven't played the game on any lower difficulty, as I was sure that I gathered enough experience for that in DH1 already.

So I don't know on which difficulty you play and how guards will react to a shot of the crossbow (die immediately?)

If you have a higher difficulty and trust your own aim, Coffin' Nails might be a good choice as you can shoot faster.

For pistol, I used the Crimson Painter. It makes the pistol very strong in close combat.
While I used the bow for sniping, it was a perfect choice for myself.

Thanks, I also played the original Dishonored & DLC, and went straight to "Very Hard." I've already done both a High Chaos and Non-Lethal Ghost run.

Regarding the Pistol, I figure it would be better to use Crimson Painter; it's already pretty accurate and isn't stealthy enough to be a Long range option. (Plus the scope looks ridiculous)

The Crossbow is a little more difficult to determine. I am fairly confident in my aim, but don't see any situation where I'd use a rapid-fire machine bow over the pistol. I may go with the Dealer if it's able to act as a substitute for Emilies Chain-Link ability. Is it able to Kill 3 opponents efficiently without alerting their comrades?

No.
I often got issues with killing someone with the dealer.
Once, all three guards I locked were alive. XD

It depends where you hit them and the auto aim is mostly after the torso.

Even if you use Domino, if all of them survive it won't help. ;)
So it's actually only useful if you plan to mess around with the guards.

As you don't use any powers, you're unable to craft a level 4 bone charm which increases your crossbow damage.
That charm combined with Dealer, it's awesome. :)

Spare that masterwork for more useful things, at your current run.

not sure what the difference is, but I could get the auto-aim to lock onto heads quite easily, and for me it could take out multiple targets without problems. At first it does lock on the torso, but if you hold the aim for a second longer and point it slightly up, it should lock on the head.

Really?
Well I just looked onto a target and moved on, when the aim was set up.
So maybe you can control that setting.
Have to retry it, when I make another high chaos run.

However, with a level 4 bone charm for inceased crossbow damage, it definitely is much more easy.

@Loryn
At which difficulty setting are you playing?
Aesill Jan 5, 2017 @ 7:58am
played everything from easy to very hard, did not notice any difference in how the dealer works.
Just Chill Jan 5, 2017 @ 7:59am
Doesn't have enemies on very hard higher amounts of health?
Aesill Jan 5, 2017 @ 8:00am
yeah, but the dealer works the same across difficulties =p
and headshots are always pretty reliable kills, unless you hit helmet/mask xD
Just Chill Jan 5, 2017 @ 8:10am
Yeah, I guess that with the helmet was a blocker for me.
Guess I started to aim at the torso on purpose, as I couldn't make the function aim on the neck.

And in that case, it is only useful if you have a level 4 bone charm which increaes the damage of the crossbow.
