No elite guard helmet for Souvenirs cheevo

Anyone have any input for this? I'm playing a (mostly) non-lethal low chaos run and have knocked out and carried more elite guards than I care to count but haven't seen the helmet show up in the glass case onboard the Dreadful Wale. Haven't been able to find anything else related online. Any opinions would be most welcome.

Not sure but I think you have to drop assassinate/KO an elite in mission 2.

I have loads of souvenirs in my case and I have absolutely no idea what I did or didn't do to acquire them.

I got that one on my no kill run, so I can assure you that it isn't kill related. But I'm pretty much sure that you have to neutralize an elite guard (so red shirt and helmet) on mission 2 (and on that mission only). To be sure you can try to choke one, drop stun them and so on. There should be at least three elite guard. The only other thing that I can think of is that there are also "veteran" guards...and they kinda look alike the "elite ones"...to be sure try to choke/kill one of each kind on mission 2

No need to kill one, knocking one out works too,b ut be sure to actually grab and carry the body just to make sure you "pick it up".

I bet this is my problem right here. I actually didn't realize that there were both veteran AND elite guards, I've only been seeing either blue or red guards. Going to try this tonight and I'll post whether it pops or not.

Darn it, no luck. I had a hard save at the very end of the Conservatory just to try this. Found an elite and tried a KO, went to the Dreadful Wale to find no helmet. Reloaded and used a drop assassination, even carried his body all the way to the skiff. Still nothing >:[

I wonder if this can only be done on mission 2?? Well I'm already to Stilton's manor so I'll have to give it a try whenever my next playthrough is. Thanks for trying to help m8!

Just wanted to say that for anyone struggling with this like I did... got the helmet immediately on my new playthrough and making extra special consideration to look for an elite guard EXPLICITLY ON MISSION 2 EDGE OF THE WORLD. Thanks to Cursed Hawkins for helping me lrn2read and Gelb123 for alerting me to the fact that there are separate veteran and elite guards.

Have to say that personally I find it retarded that it has to be on mission 2 and mission 2 only as you will run into elite guards throughout the rest of the game but whatever man.

I think it says that you can get it on any mission in the game, but i think it would be safer to do it on mission to as it kind of says its related to that mission.

I think it says that you can get it on any mission in the game, but i think it would be safer to do it on mission to as it kind of says its related to that mission.

Not trying to contradict you but in my personal experience I was trying to constantly KO or snuff elites from the conservatory mission on to get the helmet with zero success. Starting this new playthrough and having the helmet pop immediately I'm convinced that it can only be done during the second mission. I got screwed on the songs of serkonos achievement as well so not that big of a deal but still not very clear at all.

I read it on some website (ign or something like that) that said it's possible on any level, but like i said, i think you can only get it (would be safter to try) on that mission.

It doesn't pop up that you got the elite helmet. It took a while for me to figure it out, but once you choke/kill an elite you'll automatically get it.

Edit: you can get it ONLY IN MISSION 2
