Duke Abele is missing (not the double)

Hi everyone,

I started mission 8 yesterday. I found the double in the bedroom of the duke, talked with him. He told me to knock the duke unconscious and to bring him the body.

Previously, i had overheard a conversation stating that the Duke will be eating in his private gardens that night, and subsequently got a red target icon on this place.

Problem, though there were several gards, the Duke is nowhere to be found. I checked out the whole map : The Duke's Office, the Throne Room, the Pool...

He is absolutely nowhere, therefore i am blocked. I can't neutralize him and pick up his vault key.

This is really annoying.

Has anybody ever encountered this problem, and is there a way to solve it ? Including with console commands if necessary ?

Do you have the 'markers'' turned off in the missions screen? You will see symbols on screen if you don't have them hidden and will help locate the targets to complete missions.

No, the markers are turned on, and my target marker concerning Duke Abele (red one) is clearly located at the private gardens, where he is not.

Might have bugged out and clibbed through the floor of the map. Its happened about 3 times for me. Though just with regular guards.

♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥... :/ The patch downloaded yesterday. I will launch the game and see if it fixes the bug (though i highly doubt about it...). Otherwise, i guess my only solution will be to start the level from scratch (-_____-).

More spoilers. I guess I'll be very careful when I get to him because OH WAIT he has a body double that I didn't know about.

Sorry man, i didn't want to make you game experience less interesting :/

I'll be more careful next time. (but as someone said, you are told at the beginning of the mission so it's not a big deal :) )

Yes I encournters it yes this is years later I pickedup the game. You would think the bugs have been fixed...but nope. mine has the bug
