Mission 2: Any way to back to the ship to retrieve missing rune??

After completing Mission 2, after 6 hours of gameplay, I realized to have miss a rune... (9/10).
Reloading the savegame, no runes showed by the heart.
After some research I realized I miss the rune in the water close to the ship!
Now I have no desire at all to repeat the entire mission from the beginning, but I can not continue the game without just a rune! :(
There is any way to retrieve it?

If not, this is really a game breaking feature.

No, there's no way back. But missing one rune is hardly going to cripple you. There's not even an achievement for getting all the runes. So either move on, or replay it, whatever you prefer.

Ok Thanks, I'm in a "peaceful" no-kill run with Emily, I don't need some "killing" perks, so I could miss some runes.
I will take more attention to them in next "killing spree" run with Corvo. :)
