Watch Towers in DH2. Are they worth rewiring on a NP run?

Is there any point to rewiring the watch towers?

During a No powers run on the mission Royal Conservatory. i rewired the watch tower as i cannot reach the oil tank for obvious reasons. but it still fired on me reguardless

I thought at the time. it could have been because i was killing the guards stationed in the area. But i also noticed that the watch tower though rewired. didn't fire on any of the guardsmen

I tried again by sneaking around and removing the guards non lethally. and then rewired but it still attacked the instant i stepped into the spotlight. the only difference i noticed is that it took several seconds before the light turned red. my game wasn't lagging so that wasn't the cause for the delay.

So did Akrane change it from killing the guardsmen after being rewired. to temporarily avoiding detection? Or did i encounter a bug where even though i rewired it nothing changed

Are you sure, it was the tower, you rewired? I'm pretty sure you have to do that on top of it as well.

It may have been the wall of light. now that i think about it. but usually they have the panels to the wall of light behind it rather than in front.

The panel i rewired was in the metal guardpost to the right of the tower. the red cords that ran between it go both to the wall of light and the watch tower.

I'll check again to see if it was the wall of light

Yeah. i was wrong i thought the red cord ran to the watch tower but it runs under the bridge. it was the WOL that i rewired.

You probably just rewired the wall of light. The tower panel is always on the tower
