Nobody may ever see this, but the "mouse and screen alignment" issue you describe when using a Surface Pro to play games can be fixed by locating the game's .exe, right-clicking it and choosing "Properties", then switching to the "Compatability" tab and checking the "Disable scaling for high DPI devices" option.

also if you've upgraded to 8.1 that could be your problem as well. 8.1 is causing issues for a lot of games

Not that I've ever heard. Of course this same thing has been said over and over without any kind of information backing it since Win8 came out.

Way to necro an old post. 8.1 had a LOT of plroblems with games when it was released. It's now finally started to be more stable, but that dosen't stop it from being a POC software
