the other two (joystick) do, which might be fixed someday.
if thats an issue, yes don't buy it.
however, for the rest of the features
- leaderboards
- scanline support
- audio options
- killscreen options
- actual level progression working (unlike in pac man museum)
this is actually one of the best ports of the game.
i highly recommend it.

These discussion areas are for people to talk about the game, find out if there are issues and if the game is worth the money. As it stands, these packages are insanely large, use much higher specs than needed and their basic features are generaly poorly implemented.
If warning people about this comes across as trolling, as you said in one of the other threads, I think you need to ask yourself if you actually know what a troll is. I want these ports to be good because I love these titles, if you are happy with churned out lacklustre ports then that's fine too. Hope you enjoyed it.
why in the world would you post the same message 4 times,
when one would have been sufficient.
you're hypothetically criticizing a game you don't even own.
you don't know the features or lack of them, and yet you
criticize it, and are trying to deter other people from getting it.
trolling.

Just because you are blatantly misunderstanding my intentions and not comprehending that these packages all have the same issues, does not mean that I am trolling. Why do you think that warning people of sub par ports of these games is a negative thing? I want to see these done properly, or at least executed to some basic standard.
Given that you seem to love these games and have spent some time with them, it seems really odd and almost a bit suspicious that you seem to think they are perfectly fine.
where did i say that.
of course their are issues.
but the vast majority of people will never see them
------------------------------------------------------------------------
- near the killscreen
- ghost movement differences compared to the arcade rom
- grouping issues compared to the arcade roms
the average person will play for a few minutes, enjoy
their time with it and move on.
if anyone wants to spend the many days and hours with it, that i have
and chronicle the issues, then i might actually listen to them.
other than that, it is totally possible to play this game
in every aspect near to the arcade level, regardless of controller
issues (i stated that keyboard is actually the best to use).
i have no difficulty with any of the games, getting to the tops
of the leaderboards, hitting the killscreens, or advancing
through hundreds of levels of each game with no problems
whatsoever.

I'm no Pacman expert though I have many hours and a 1.4 million all time best following twin galaxy rules.
While I find this port to be the best PC port so far of Pacman there are some things that are real issues. I played and practised for many months (back in 2010) on PC using MadCatz TE SFIV stick with 4 way restrictors on. The controller support on this (and the XBOX One version also) seems quite poor in relation to the Museum version. Though that's quite a poor port.
These versions are SO close to great it is such a pity that a few vital things are missing.
- Key rebinding (i've a custom built arcade cab and this would be fanttastic for this)
- Poor controller support (this almost ruins Pacman and Ms.Pacman for me.
Only two bezels is quite poor also.
The games still don't look as good as say on a certain emulator that is well known but at least with scanlines they do look good.
Love the achievements but then we had those on 360 years ago.
I'll probably play Pacman til I'm old and gray. I am kind of old and kind of gray already :)
I just hope this(these) port(s) get a little more love before namco move on.
Anyone know if there are plans for more games to be added to the Arcade Game Series ?
yes, i'm the same as the guy from xbox 360. we should continue this discussion in another post. (this thread is about ms pac man, and not pac man)
i don't like the title of it.
anyways, i have tried 2 other usb joysticks, and they work fine. in fact, just hit 999k on pacman yesterday. x-arcade emulates a keyboard, so it should be able to work also i think.
i have also hit the killscreen in ms pac man at 142 (with continues), and will be going for the screen rollover at level 256 also.
the only thing this versions appeal to me is the leaderboards. for more authentic play, mame will be good enough for most people, and do your own custom art, keyboard remapping, controller support etc.

As a seasoned pac-man and ms. pac-man player I am very disapointed that the ARCADE Series Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man default normal behaviour is NOT like the arcade. Please change these titles so that the default game behaviour of the ghosts are exactly as the arcade original with the leaderboard to show that as well. namco can add a TRUE arcade mode which wil then be tehdeafult, other modes would then be the variants which do not allow for patterns or groupings./
Many more gamers wil play these game if their expectations are met and not to be disappointed when they starts the game and then even on the first few stages NONE of the ghosts moving patterns + pacman/mspacman grouping patterns or hold points do work.
