Solar Flare Indicator
Is there any clever way of telling when a Solar Flare has subsided?

I find it very hard to tell, especially when the screen is flashing a Yellow Alert. Is there a menu or something that indicates that it's still going on?

At least with the sand storms you could see it blowing.

Thanks! The music idea worked.

I believe the solar panels will move as well after the solar flare is over.

Another thing: the ambiant brightness goes back down when it's finished. I don't even wait for the music to end to deactivate the yellow alert. I have never has any problem by doing like this.

You may have better eyesight than I do, or a better GFX. I have been caught out numerous times thinking it is over and getting my colonists killed or injured by turning the alert off to early.

The music idea works though i suspect that sometimes it takes longer than necessary for it to change. It's a shame that there is no indiciation on the day/night indicator that the sun is flaring, that would be ideal.

Ah yes, you need the brightness to be completely down to disable the yellow alert. I once disabled it too quickly, and got one guy (among more than 300, so it's not problematic) caught under the radiations.

From my experience solar flares only happen during the day.... Not so surprising considering what a solar flare is. When the game tells you (Assuming you have a functional telescope network up) "Solar Flare Detected" and "Solar Flare Hitting Soon" that is relative to the next morning period... This can get confusing cause I've had "Solar Flare Detected" appear an hour or two before morning and the actual flare didn't hit till the morning after (I think I missed an opportunity for a joke here, damn).

Once you see "Solar Flare Imminent" you done yiffed up as that means it's going on NOW you can try to hastily call a yellow alert but you'll most likely get several people shotgunned by radiation and in need of quick medical attention. So what you can do once a CC is up but before you have telescopes is call everyone in a few hours before each morning it's tedious but can save lives not to mention it'll help boost production since there are fewer things for people to get sidetracked with and maybe it's me but the colonists seem to focus on their jobs better when they hear the claxon going wild.
