I got both of the speed challenges on planet 1.
it is a beginners tutorial base, but if you get that running up pretty fast, then make a starport, you should be good
Biggest challenge was keeping the base running at all times. Going out of power in the middle of the night will really hurt your progession. Having poor wealth is also killing. I did have to reload twice. First time I got stuck in an eternal loop of low power which made I also stopped producing metal neded to expand power capacity. Had to go back +- 20 minutes and cancel some project and build a solar panel instead.
Second time there was a flaw in my oxygen layout. I had created canteen>biodome medium>dorm medium. The dorm had been showing low oxyen throughout the game. But when I got to 82 colonists the O2 just collapsed and shut down the bio dome too! This caused all my inhabitants to become hungry which made them pretty much refuse work. At the same time there was an unlucky night with no wind. Without wind and power the entire base shutdown. I managed to shut down all buildings except for a few o2 plants. This wasn't enoug. A total of 60 out of the 82 colonists died. So I had to go back 20 minutes to conserve power (=shutdown all 4 mines, factorories and processing plants to get through the night).
Oh wait there was also a third setback that almost killed my colony. A meteor hit my newly created large biodome. This killed 5 bio workers. I was running 50% worker and 25% bio so with these 5 guys dead all plants started to need maintenance. I fixed this by replacing the high maintenance tomatos by something with regular maintenance and adjusting landing rights. This did deplete my 80 vegetable buffer in a single day though :P.
In other words: I had fun :).

Complete waste of development time if you ask me.
