Skip the intro!
Can we please get an ability to skip the intro landing scene? It was okay in the beginning, but when you are frequently restarting, it gets annoying.

Check the thread "Modding Roadmap and Updates". There is a mod for that, plus some other very useful things...

Why does there have to be a mod? Why not just "space to skip"?
The Great Gazoo Apr 5, 2016 @ 7:59pm
Well, if you read the thread, it explains it a bit. Somehow the video is part of the game, as opposed to just a running vid, I think. Beats me, but the mod works...

I am requesting, as a pre-alpha tester, that they provide a way to skip the intro. I think you all forget that this game is very very very far from releasing.
The Great Gazoo Apr 5, 2016 @ 10:02pm
Huh? This is a completed fully released game. What are you talking about?
Giggles Apr 6, 2016 @ 1:03pm
I thought it was pre-alpha, sorry.

:) No worries...

Oh wow. I could have sworn this was early access when I bought it last week. Seems very raw. Needs a lot more content to not seem like EA...no longer excited about this game...
Giggles Apr 6, 2016 @ 6:48pm
I think it is production level for a small builder, but many so-called "pre-alpha" games are also close to production value (when they have good teams). I buy so many early releases that I didn't even look at the tag on this one, and assumed it was early-release.

It certainly feels like early access. Kind of like Banished in space. The mods are what make Banished not feel so EAish lol. Hopefully, this one will get some soon. And hopefully the devs continue to make additions to it (I just looked through the updates since launch and they seem to be releasing new content adequately. Hope they keep that up! I'll hold off on a review for a while.)

Didn't mean to derail the thread. I'd also like to skip the colonists and bots walking slowly off the ship. I will look into that mod.

What could the developer possibly add to the game that wouldn't make it seem EA to you? You just said Banished doesn't feel EA anymore because of mods, but I would think that means the devs took no part in that.

If you look at this game like a sandbox then its pretty much complete. What are you expecting? A storyline campaign? because that is the only thing this game is missing.

I just meant, like Banished, there's not a whole lot to this game. Mods make Banished good, maybe with a more extensive workshop, this one can be as good. Or if the devs keep updating it like they have been. I wasn't bashing them, they seem to be adding content and I just hope they keep it up.

Or maybe it's because both this game and Banished were written by one guy working out of his basement. You expect these types of games to be as good and have as much content as games from major studios? There's a reason they don't cost $60.
