What could the developer possibly add to the game that wouldn't make it seem EA to you? You just said Banished doesn't feel EA anymore because of mods, but I would think that means the devs took no part in that.
If you look at this game like a sandbox then its pretty much complete. What are you expecting? A storyline campaign? because that is the only thing this game is missing.
Or maybe it's because both this game and Banished were written by one guy working out of his basement. You expect these types of games to be as good and have as much content as games from major studios? There's a reason they don't cost $60.
