Laser.
At one point I had 2 lasers working I think. But I have only seen one fire. I have had several metor strikes on the base, a couple close to the laser, but the laser never fired. So my question is this. Is there a way to have someon man the laser and telescope control 24/7? Or how ever long the days are?

First off, telescopes only give you a chance of intercept, the more telescopes, the better the chance (it maxes out at 5 telescopes) but it never is 100%.

Keeping the engineers on their post and the telescopes online permanently is nigh impossible.

Here's what I do: i get loads of extra engineers, naturally, like 10. I build a large control center, put it in a deadend position, (so I have maximum wallspace) and line the walls with telescope consoles. Then prioritize the building. I get pretty good results. Rarely any impacts.

I only build 3 or 4 lasers, by the way.

(You don't have to build this stuff all at once, of course)

Every laser has a circle around it indicating its range. Its not really more effective to overlap the lasers they take about the same amount of time to destroy with one or two lasers. The frequnecy of impacts also makes it unnescciary as well. I've never had a single rock hit my base after one was set up and the scopes were manned.

As you can see in that picture? The laser did not fire. I have also found that the Metor's tend to impacted when there is no one manning the controls. But I will try what you have said.

I usually build 4 big telescopes and 5 or 6 telescope consoles (1 or 2 consoles more than telescopes) in a controlcenter. Controlcenter on high priority. Try to build the controlcenter near your factory and bot production, so that your engineers don't have to travel long from one work space to the other.

I have 3 bot repair dome's setup, and one Bot constrution dome setup, with all 3 bot building ports in it. I have the 2 Patents I needed to buld constructor and Diller bots.

I will work on the laser info when I get back into the game again.
