Is there a Map Editor ingame?
For the most part you have little, no Place, because everything is built by Mountains

The Mountains are the game. Remove the mountains and the game is so easy it's no longer a challenge.

If you're having a big problem with routing your base around the mountains restart the level numerous times with different landing coordinates. You may find a location that doesn't put much in your way.

There isn't, but you can land in a location with few moutains if you want, just search the forums there are plenty of threads with easy location lists.

Im working on a full UI'ed challenge editor based on a posted xml guide. It will allow you to change many terrain generation parameters as well , so with some encouraged experimentation we'll see what results we can get. I should post it on the forums within couple of days. It's almost finished :)

Try this out. I was experimenting with the terrain and environment settings. You can get pretty amazing effects, including almost perfectly flat ground.
