Signposts, Telescopes and Antenna sizes

Is there any benefit to having a larger Signpost vs smaller ones? How about Telescopes and Antennas?

Signposts of any size give the same amount of prestige, so no.

Telescopes are different, you need 5 to get maximum coverage. They don't have to be spread out, you can cluster them together.

The big challenge for Telescopes and Antennas is to keep them online. Your Engineers and Workers will walk away from the consoles very often. The key is redundancy, especially for the Telescopes. Build 2 or 3 consoles per Telescope, to simulate shifts. And make sure you have the number of Engineers to match.

Thanks for the info, I apreciate it. Another qustion: how do I assign more than one console to the same telescope? I currently have three telescopes and three consoles. I suspect I just build more consoles and when an engineer mans one it will operate any available telescope?

Yeah, you don't assign them. You just build too many :-)

(Getting and keeping all your telescopes online is obviously for the mid- to late-game)
