Question: Telescopes and Lasers
Do Lasers just cover territory, or do multiple lasers give you more than one chance. (Ex: Do I have 1 60% chance to hit no matter how many lasers I have, or a 60% chance per laser?)

Should I have more than 1 telescope? Or similarly, is there a reason to have several telescopes and only 1 laser? I'm trying to understand the math of how it works to provide the best protection. Is there an optimal combination?

I understand I should have 2 telescope monitoring stations for each telescope - that they won't properly share the same desk, even though that means sometimes 2 engineers are watching the same telescope at the same time, then leave it unwatched at others.

Any other tips? thanks,

Telescopes give you a chance of detecting the meteor: The more active (monitored) telescopes the higher the chance.

Once the meteor has been detected you have to have a laser in the landing area with enough charge.

Hi thanks martiño, so it sounds like I've been doing it wrong. I had 1 big telescope and about 5 lasers. I need to change some of them for telescopes and add a couple monitoring stations.

Enjoying the game so far. It took a while and watching to understand how the systems work, but once I understood how things work I've been progressing well.
