Hay guys after many hours searching for a fix i found a link on the iobit website to version 3.5 and it works with the steam key http://www.cd4o.com/drivers/debug/driver_booster_setup_3.5.exe

its because they want you to get the stannd alone program and it tries to talk you into installing other ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. like dashlane or whatever.. i stuck with these guys through the thick and thing. now they are turning into some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. wtf driver guys.

That error happens when you try to update Driver Booster 3.3 to the latest version. The lifetime license is only good for Driver Booster 3.3. I had to uninstall the latest version of Driver Booster. Driver Booster 3.3 for Steam did work after I did that.
