Risen - Launching Problem

Hey guys, I have a problem. When I want to play the game, nothing happens. Steam says I'm playing Risen for a second and then nothing. I got Risen from Humble bundle. Any fixes?

This game has something messed up with the resolution.

To fix this run it in Windowed mode.

To do this open ConfigDefault.xml from:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Risen\data\ini\

Change Fullscreen from "True" to "False" then save the file. Restart the game and it should open in Windowed mode. Use the in-game settings to change the resolution to something you like. You can then try changing it back to Fullscreen = "True" and it might work. If it doesn't work you'll just have to play in Windowed mode.

Thanks for reply, but still the problem occurs. I tried your fix, and even used launch prefix -windowed, but still nothing.

what file do you need to do all of that in?

The issue with the game is that youre missing the PhysXloader.dll file, copy all the dll files from C:\Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation\PhysX\Common
to the root of C:\Windows\system and than you should be able to launch the game sucsessfully!

Usually the reason you have to do this is because youre running AMD/ATI :P

If i play in windowed mode, the cursor won't go away.
If I play in fullscreen, It just doesnt work.

This happened to me as well. While in Windowed mode change the resolution to whatever your monitor's native resolution is and then try runnin in Fullscreen again. The cursor won't appear in fullscreen if you can get it working. It still takes about 5-10 seconds for the splash screens to start showing up after you start it though, so give it 10 seconds and then if its not appearing then its not working still.

Well, none of the solution here work for me. I'm on win 7 x64 with 8g ram a nvidia 560Ti. the probleme is when i it "play" nothing happen, just nothing.

Have you tried opening the risen.exe file from the folder? Not sure, but when I tried that it actually gave me an error before closing, thats how I was able to track down my issue.

Arrests, ive tried your fix, because my issue is im missing PhysX stuff, and ive tried putting it where Risen can find, but im having no luck. Do you have anyother ideas?
