Bugs freakin everywhere
I have tried to get to chapter 2 with the mage story line three times now and everytime a bug happens so that I get stuck. The first time that initiation bug happens, I complete all the masters tests and nothing happens, and the secound and third time Abrax wont give me his quest so I cant get past him.....

I have used 10 hours now trying to get to chapter two and I am really frustrated now.

Does anyone have the same problems as I have? or is there someone who can help me?

I've played the game several times on different computers and differente OS's and have never had an issue like that.
I know it sounds like a lame suggestion, but have you tried restarting the PC and trying again?

nope, but I will give it a shot. I really want risen to work, even with the troubles I have been having, I think it is a very good game

Have you tried talking to Ash about Abrax? I think he is the one who tips you off to the fact that Abrax is hiding in the library, so maybe you need to speak to him in order to trigger Abrax's quest.

I'm pretty sure you're just missing some little details. It's unlikely that you break the questline three times in a row and I'm not aware of any issue with these quests in particular. Make sure you also solved the "Find Hemlars Murder" quest. If you're sure that you really didn't miss anything then you could give this unofficial patch a try. It's supposed to solve some of the remaining, but rare questbreakers. I used it myself and never had any problems with it.

I just took a look in the changelog and found this line, maybe that's what happened on your first try.
"Telling Ignatius that Pallas has no task for you before asking Pallas about his task no longer prevents completion of "The tests of the Masters" quest."

I know this line of quests breaks if you go into this place not intended way (i. e. climbing through walls).

You should be able to make it without the hemlars murder quest, The graveyard guard glitched out on me for that one so I couldn't finish it but I could still progress just fine
