Germany Football World Champion 2014
STICKY!
I did every steps except the "reg cleaner" part, can you please explain if it's important and what it is?
The reg cleaner removes all parts of any old drivers files etc. It's important. Might not be what's causing your BSOD but it's worth a try. I'd try CCLEANER it's free and works good.
Thank you, but it still didn't work after repeating all steps and using CCleaner. I find it really strange because the game worked perfectly fine less than a month ago. Could it be a recent Windows update that caused this problem? I didn't change anything in my Windows 7, same antivirus, same Nvidia card, etc...
One strange thing I notice is that no matter how many times I run the file integrity verification, I'm always missing one file. Steam then downloads a 2.2k file and if I immediatly run the file verification again the same thing happens again and again, always missing this 2.2k file.
Did you try uninstallig and reinstalling and then verifying the game? Just taking a guess.
Are you on Windows 7 or 8?
Oh yes, 5 or 6 times since yesterday! I have Windows 7 64 bits.
However, even though I used to play without changing compatilibilty mode and had no issue, when doing the steps above "troubleshoot compatibility" said to use Win XP service pack 2. But after randomly trying different things (run as administrator, disable this, disable that), it worked when simply using Win XP sevice pack 3 compatibility mode. It seems to work now, the game loads fast instead of taking 2 minutes before I reach the introduction screen and being BSOD'ed whenever I click something. I could start a new game and walk around on the beach... let's hope it will last! :)
I don't understand what it going on, but thank you Spizy Chicken for your prompt replies.
I've W7.
