Tried modding Risen, Ended Up Breaking It like a Super Nintendo Game

So, I wanted to make Risen look pretty last night so I downloaded a few mods using the ModStarter for Risen from World of Risen. It worked fine during the trial run using a few texture and rebalancing mods. I quicksaved, quit out, updated the starter, reinstalled the mods I used, and tried booting the game back up.
Then it all went to ♥♥♥♥. An error box popped up saying there wasn't enough memory (which is a load of crap), so I went lighter on the mods. Didn't help. I uninstalled the Mod Starter and tried running it vanilla and it still wouldn't run. I uninstalled and reinstalled on Steam and it still isn't working.
I was wondering if anyone could give me a hand. Thank you a bunch.

Same here, except I got not error, just crashes. RMod is trash, uninstalled it.

Crashes are a common problem when you use lots of high resolution texture mods. In my case the Enhanced Textures and Enhanced Stone Textures mods are especially problematic, so I don't use them. In the non Steam version you would normally set a LAA-Flag to make the game use 4gb memory instead of only 2gb.

The Modstarter works fine and is a useful tool. That said, it doesn't check if mods are compatible with each other, so if you encounter any problems it might be wise to install one mod after another to see when exactly the problem kicks in.

Unfortunately, I can't tell why TheGentlemanShark isn't able to get it working again, even after reinstalling the game. Unless he forgot to delete all mods, as I'm not sure if this is automatically done when uninstalling the Modstarter. If there are remaining mods, then they will stay in the directory, even when you reinstalll the game via Steam.

Yes, it is those two mods that are causing the issue. Unfortunately, LAA-Flags don't work on Steam games which means those mods are useless on the Steam version of the game :(

Yes, you need a Retail Version! I buy the Game on Amazon Shop. And now, all Mods (Texture Mods) are working perfect. The 4 GB Patcher works perfekt on the Retail.exe.
