Risen
Should i buy Risen 1 from Steam and GOG?
I want to buy Risen 1, but i don't know if the game is the same in Steam and GOG

I saw a lot of people here talking about bugs, and beta versions, and updates that solved some bugs but created more bugs....

Anyone here knows if GOG has the same version from Steam? Is it also full of bugs? It has the option to use beta versions like Steam?

And what about the unofficial patches for the game? Will they work with any version of the game or not?

I'm so confused here. Please someone help me :(

Where do i buy? Steam or GOG? And which version is better, the "official" release or some other beta?

I don't know whether they released the updated version to GOG or not. However unless you care about Steam achievements you can just play the original 2009 version, either here or on GOG. The 2009 version is stable except for the climbing bug which can be easily fixed by forcing vsync on.
