DONT BUY RISEN ON PS4/PS5 ITS BROKE

i bought Risen $30 and played for 1 hour on the PS5 and the game Froze 5 times.
its broke and unplayable.
i went looking online and couldnt find any support from Piranha Bytes or Sony i stumbled on a reddit page, and there was a post saying the same thing it was freezing on PS4 and PS5.

No testing or quality control - its unacceptable

this is steam, not a console hub.

so just to point out you are posting this in a PC steam forum
yep its broken.
we know why now but idk how you fix consoles thats why I dont own any they suck since ps2 ps2 last decent non nintendo console.

its Scaling issue
the game wants to run in a smaller window, NOT MUCH but just enough to make it go CYA
and yep its cross platfrom
dont even bother on steam deck

I was watching a YouTube stream of the game, the YouTuber had been sent a free code from THQ, a number of times he complained about it just locking up randomly during the stream on PlayStation 5.....THQ have reopened Pandoras box, they need to fix it, did they take no notice of the terrible GTA trilogy console re-release?

It seems to be the same on Xbox, reviews on the store are saying that the game is freezing when pressing start button (lol) .

I can't launch it on my steam deck and you say it doesn't work on ps5 either so... does this re release work on switch at least ?

It makes perfect sense to me. They got the source code from PB, and now they have to get used to how it works, and fix issues that arose with changing stuff in the code. It's perfectly normal. It's not as easy as some gamers might think.

Give it some time, I have full confidence that they fix the most major issues.

Oh, by the way, the GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition is not nearly as bad as some people make it look like. I played all the 3 games through, and, apart from occasional bugs here and there, which were also present in the originals, I was perfectly able to play them. Yes, performance isn't stellar, but, it doesn't really matter on any lower mid tier to high end current PC.

People just like to give everything a beating these days. It's how people work now, trouble in paradise.

Yep, you can find keys for 2-3 €. Buy on PC, runs perfectly on any calculator

Don't support the developers for the crappy ports!

2 months before the release it was briefly reduced from 29 to 19 at Amazon for the switch. As much as I love the game and wanted to experience it again in handheld, my alarm bells went off

I do know the issues
so
the new UPDATE scaled everything down to the hand held platforms
so yeah!
hence why the volume is so low too
please dev people fix these

we can mend them for now, but this should NOT be an issue
scaling issues still exist in all PB games

anyone play titan risen 3? go to skills you cant read em

just odd the same issue for decades plagues them

RUN This exe, before you do make sure windows scaling= 100% if not set scaling to 100%
set res to 1920x1080 to start. or whatever

these two things I could add in many languages just not this game.

You can't activate Risen keys in Australia at the moment on Steam, might be the only way for some people to paly.

When Rimworld was very very briefly banned, I could not activate a Humble key on Steam. Said "key cannot be activated in your region"
