It's not old and I'm not a graphics snob. It's just that I don't like hazy brown filters, or any filtering technique for that matter. I didn't like the blue tint in Battlefield 3 or the yellow filter in Deus Ex HR. There is a difference using brown effect to convey a message like say you are in a sand storm and then yeah that's a proper use of it, but why go overboard and make your entire game look like that?
It's my personal prefference I don't like it.
Wheter there is a filter or not is irrelevent, I did not like that way it looks and looked for a way to change it. Why is this such a big deal? You have your tastes I have mine. We do not have to agree on everything, everyone has the choice to change things as they see fit. It's beauty of modding.
