Spider God: Possible Bug?

So I have been unable to get past the tempe of the Spider God. I have defated the priest and the big spider. After defeating the giant spider, I get the sequence where the character holds up his sword and the music plays. But then nothing, I am back controlling my character. It appears that I am trapped in the room, the exit no longer works.
I have a feeling that there is a game trigger not funtioning and booting me back out to the world map. Just curious if anyone can tell me is this a glitch or am I supposed to be doing something else after defeating the spider boss.

I think it's a bug, I killed the spider too but never got the character animation to play, no achievement either and the exit was still " protected by the magic wall".

I am not 100% sure but to me it looks like a bug.

I'm sure it's a bug. I've been able to kill the high priest but then I wasnt able to go any further than that and also didint get the achievment for it. Hopefully they fix it soon.

I know it's a bit out of topic but still it could be related to the behaviours that occur when you fight the bosses...

This time I defeated the high priest first but he triggered a cutscene with 14 HP left where he basically ran away, saying he would return.
Then I went out of his room and back to the temple, to fight the Spider God instead; I defeated that but it too triggered a cutscene in which it went away.
The ending I got was the one with the maidens.

I assume it means you have to play it again to actually kill those bosses?

Yes. You need to use the magic of the Moon Axe from the Shadow Dungeon of Kar-Azza to shatter their barriers and pursue them.

I love the fact that I can write that phrase and have it be an accurate statement.

Yeah I never got the even the maiden's ending. I am literally just stuck in the Spider's Lair. So yeah it must be a glitch.

Guys Listen:
1 - You cannot kill the priest, he will just keep himself alive and ran away
2 - You can kill the spider god at the 1st encounter *cave* but then you will unable to proceed the game any further *glitch*. You need to let him live so that he can retreat to the magic wall

In order to kill BOTH OF THEM, you need Moon Axe ! Moon Axe has a special magic attack allow you to break the magic barrier and kill the priest + spider

In order to get the Moon Axe, you need to: free the boy -> return to his village -> talk to him -> he will give you a spider key -> go to Kar-Azzar -> go to the cave just before the pit of spikes *near waterfall where Sheyna took a bath* -> kill the tiger, proceed futher into the cave -> use the key !

To get the Maidens' ending: simply go beat the spider god until he retreats !
