Sleeping Beauty problems

I have tried to play the objective 'Sleeping Beauty' and came across a real problem.

Every twenty levels, approx. 50% of all crusaders fall asleep. After finishing area 175 without problems, I went into 176 - and the problem was: I could not kill/touch any monster. https://gyazo.com/03d064cdc58714482891faea4fef11e0

After checking with support, I was told, to enter the 176 area only with crusaders awake. I managed that - but in araea 201, I was stuck again. Nothing I have done worked.

Has anybody here on the board experienced the same problem ??

In sleeping beauty will 9 out of 20 sleep, just use those 11 remaning crusaders.
These 9 that are sleeping will change every 25 levels.

Vin, you are right, but when do I swap the still sleeping ones with non sleeping ones, when I try to go for example to area 176 or 201 ?

For 176 I just managed by changing them to and fro. I went into 176, checked, who was sleeping and exchanged that one with an awake one in area 175 (where this crusader was sleeping at that time). This I did slowly one by one.

In area 201 it did not work.

I gave up and reset. Did you finish that one without any problems ?

I finished it with no problems. Wasnt anything telling me to swap them either. I could play with sleeping crusaders if I wanted.

I did it with very little trouble also. I even left my buffers in while they were sleeping because I was too lazy to change them out. The only thing I did was exchange out my main DPS for another one if he/she was sleeping. I mainly used Hermit but had to switch to werewolf every so often. From about 200-225 I had to use Sarah because both Hermit and Werewolf were asleep.

One thing I did that helped a lot was everytime I was within a few levels of the next 25 switch, I would save my money until the switch. That way I didn't waste money on a DPS crusader that was going to be asleep.

If you can't do the objective, you either have A) Too few idols or B) A bad formation or C) Both

I had 4500 idols, was instakilling all monsters and had a good time. Until .........

I am at the moment doing a box-free play and will try sleeping beauty again after I have finished the box play.

That's not even sort of enough idols for that mission. You should AT LEAST double that number before trying again.

??? But I was doing alright until area 201, but that was only due to the fact, that my 'fighting' was not appreciated. As I said up until that break, I was still instakilling.

Do not forget, I have fairly strong crusaders. Frosty 235 EP, Siri 198 EP, Wendy 189, Santa 250 EP, Norma Kaine 263 EP, Jim 142 EP and Natalie 139EP - forgetting about Turkey and 288 EP.

It doesn't matter how powerful your crusaders are if they are asleep. The difficulty of that objective (as you may have noticed) is the fact that all your best crusaders go to sleep at the same time, making it impossible to complete the objective if the rest of your crusaders are not up to par. I understand that my estimate may be a little high, but I did it over a month ago. The new update could potentially make it a lot easier.

I guess I don't understand WHY you are trying to do Sleeping Beauty with so few idols. Your profile says that you still have Mrs. Fizzle, Guy's Night, and X Marks the Spot left to finish. All of those objectives are easier than Sleeping Beauty. Now I understand that Steam doesn't register objectives completed on another site and that could be why they're not marked as done (I've completed all the objectives and Steam says I've only done half of them because I completed the other half on Kongregate). However, if you really haven't done those ones yet, you should probably think about doing them first.

Sami, your comments are well appreciated, but I have the feeling you do not understand my dilemma.

I enter into area 201, forget about who is sleeping and who is not. The monsters are not affected by any hit whatsoever. Clicking does as much damage as the DPS shown, i.e. NONE. No damage. And that is my problem. Not too few idols or not enough money, no, it's the hitting which does not work.

I understand the situation perfectly. It is you who are not understanding. The reason you are not doing any click damage is because Bush Whacker is not in formation. The reason your DPS is not killing the monsters is because it is only 2.68D. In order to kill the monsters at lvl 176 you need to be dealing approximately 3.50T DPS, which is more than 100x more damage than you were doing.

I give up. I have finished area 176, after the problem was solved, and I went without problems (and without BushWhacker) up ino area 200.

I rest my case.

DPS dmg numbers are in red. Click dmg are white. Crit click damage in red dialogue balloon. if it show on screen, damage is registered. You claim "No damage", you mean there is 0 numbers on screen? screenshot showed 2.68D in red.

Ok, so my question is, why dont you have any click damage? I know you dont have bushwhacker in formation, but neither do I yet I still have 1.73k click damage (dont ask me how, I have no idea) I dont have anywhere near the amount of idols you do, so it's not from any of that. The only thing I can think of is that I do have a lot of gear, both crusader specific and general loot that raises my click %, but even that seems strange, cos any % of zero should still be zero.

i thought your problem was "I could not kill/touch any monster". And the reason you give was 0 damage done to monsters.

but now you are saying 0 click damage without bushwhacker is incorrect?

please clarify your exact problem.
no DPS damage done to monster? or
no click damage without bushwhacker?
