I agree. If the devs insist on 'terrain deform', maybe they can add a switch in setting to toggle it off.
Today, we'll be addressing the issue at hand. We're going to test a new approach where the Inflatable Dome won't deform the ground, similar to how it functioned in legacy builds. This change will also apply to rock walls. Our aim is to strike the right balance, considering previous feedback about ground and dirt inside the Inflatable. Please note that while we're working to improve this aspect, it may not address all cases.
Additionally, if you encounter raised or lowered terrain due to removed structures or packed up Inflatables, you can easily reset the terrain. Simply leave to the Main Menu and return to the game. When structures are reloaded during this cycle, any affected terrain should reset to its original state.

I really tried to give it another chance, but currently gameplay is more a burden then joy. Along with the fact you can't remove appliances in habitats.. (Which leaves me with exactly one spot currently to attach my greenhouse, which is blocked by the terrain...)

Appliances not being able to be removed may be something addressed soon. I shared that with the devs the earlier in the week and they noted they'd be looking into it further.
Yes .. I would prefer the Legs .. but they added the deform ground back in 2022 and I never cared for it .. just doesn't work for me, just seems wrong for the most part .. But at least in the last major update that just came out for Main Branch it was fixed for tent and stone walls and it Has Been fixed ...... I just put them down in my game a little bit ago.
