The majority of the incidents that set off suit breaches can be averted easily enough, like:
Sand storms, simply stay out of them until they pass.
Don't walk into urchins.
Be aware of creatures around you and retreat if you know it's going to be a problem.
Avoid facing forwards down hill while you are on it to prevent being dragged down to the bottom.
Avoid running on sharp inclines that lead to airtime.
Don't go out without suit tape and bandages.
Those are simple enough to do.
Each play through I've attempted for a while I've only ever had one roll of tape to hand even searching the debris from the crash I've only ever had enough tape to cover 2 suit breaches.
Honestly you do not have to do much to get your suit breached before the AI update in this latest patch where they will listen for you then attack you could survive a little while longer but now your screwed suit breaches and impending death respawn is all your going to get.
and yes I know how to avoid the stupid ass suit breaches or at least be careful enough to try and avoid them but should we really get a suit breach just for walking up a slope or dropping a small height? it's beyond belief how stupid the suit breaches are and it hasn't changed since day one of EA back in 2016, 5 years ago.
That's 5 years of development where walking forward will result in a suit breach!
What's even MORE annoying is the damage the suit takes from a slope. Are you serious?
I try to get up a hill, i slide back and i take suit damage.
What? Or even better: What the hell?
Whose stupid idea was it, to add suit damage after you realize you cannot climb up the hill?
You can breach and get hurt from running up an easy slope and getting a tiny bit of air at the top. On a planet that seems to have less gravity than earth that just doesn't make any sense to me at all as I'm fairly sure having two left feet and no coordination isn't a prerequisite for getting into astronaut training.
