We should be able to disassemble or reverse engineer anything we build (with the right equipment).
Maybe also allow for use of explosives to blow up the rock or other objects that are involved in being "stuck or inaccessible", then we can repair what gets broken that way whatever AI is involved in the droids getting stuck is "eliminated when blown up"?
Droids should also have a action queue so you can have them mine specific things until full or perform actions on a specific task like repair on a specific item or list of items and/or area.
i got it unstuck by luring a crab near by untill the drone angaged it , then it got unstuck and i made him follow trough a less inclined area .
seems the AI goes nuts on steep inclinations.
Another option would be to have them do short teleport jumps when the player isn't around in a similar way to the tractors and trucks in satisfactory that drive as normal when you're close by but to save on resources they hop from waypoint to waypoint the rest of the time.
a game mechanic where the follower simply teleports close to the player .
problem solved.
Maybe once droids can get onto spaceships they could get loaded into drop pods on the space station or a lab module to craft and call them down from orbit but teleportation would end up with demands for players to get something similar and maps would shrink as a result.
any hints?
