Creating/joining private server

I just purchased 4 copies of the game for my family to play together. I created a private server and just got confused on what to do next. After a few searches on the Internet I came across some instructions on how to invite friends to the new universe. Mind you there is nothing intuitive about setting up a universe and had to delete a couple of players and universes before figuring out how to get it all setup and working.

Please create a much easier process to create a server as well as locating and joining it in a server lobby. Maybe send a notification to other players they were invited to a private server. I saw no indication invites were recieved or sent.

After the server was created and other players joined it worked well and we found each other. However the process is very confusing at first. I wish I had some suggestions but it seems like the character you create is only usable in the universe it first joins as all I see is a launch button in the multiplayer menu. There are no options to join other servers or anything along those lines.

On top of that I deleted the first player and started a new universe I thought. However, when I joined with another created player and created a new universe the deleted players building is still there. I thought I started a new universe. The bottom line is server creation and joining is pretty rough. I had to work for it for a while to get it all working together and i still don't know what I did wrong with the first universe. I am enjoying what I've played so far and I haven't ventured into the world much further then getting off the sand dunes and onto solid land. Amazing so far! Keep it up!
