Less dating sim, more shipping industy?

So like the title says, This game less of a traditional sort of dating sim and more in the lines of setting people up together as its primary focus? If so, cool, that's fairly unique.

The story is linear and while there are several dialogue options throughout the game, they don't affect the story at all. There are 6 or 7 couples and the story switches back and forth between their POVs and that of the protagonist. It's a really fun concept that I enjoyed a lot. I didn't expect much from this game and I only bought it initially because I wanted to support Yuritopia with my money, but this has easily become my favorite yuri VN after Aoi Shiro.

chosing different options won't affect the story but it unlocks extra short episodes

This isn't a dating sim, to be clear, it is a visual novel. Don't conflate the two as they are seperate (But sometimes overlapping) things. I usually avoid the game vs not game debate, but I say this non pejoratively, this isn't a game. It's a story, a novel, a manga. You experience it, but you don't change it.

Yeah I get that, I'm fine with that. But the oportunity for a multibranch story giving you the option to pair different characters up would have made for good interesting replayability.

I don't disagree, if only because I have enjoyed it so much I don't want it to end, which I am rapidly approaching as I ferret out these last extras :)
