Kindred Spirits on the Roof

Kindred Spirits on the Roof

Official Kindred Spirits (Japanese) Products
You've already bought and finished Kindred Spirits--but you want more? This is a thread dedicated to showing you everything that was produced for Kindred Spirits (屋上の百合霊さん) in it's native Japan, that you may be able to import (through forwarding services) or an import seller. Let me know in the comments if you find somewhere selling any of these products directly to U.S. or international buyers!

Note: I'm still learning Japanese, so this guide is put together with some difficulty. Corrections and help are appreciated!

Manga:
There were 2 volumes based on Kindred Spirits released on April 30th, 2015!
Liar-soft page: https://www.liar.co.jp/yuricomi_v2/yuritopi_a.html
All the information below is gleaned from my limited Japanese knowledge and that page:

Okujou no Yurirei-san Side A: Mou Hitotsu no Yuritopia (Sample Localization: Kindred Spirits Side A: Another Yuritopia) by Hachi Itou (Who you may know from his super cute Fox Girls doujins! or at least, I was excited when I saw his name...)

Different protagonist, takes place one year after the game, and features Maki Seina and Komano Hina as second years!

Okujou no Yurirei-san Side B: Nakayoshi Quiz (Sample Localization: Kindred Spirits Side B: Quiz Club with Friends) by Fumio Aya

This one takes place 3 years after the game, and has all new characters (actually, maybe Tsukuyo-sensei is in it!) that participate in a Quiz Study Club! (I have no idea if this is actually a thing in Japan, my research was unable to find anything--maybe something similar to the "Academic Pentathlon" I participated in as a student?)

Drama CDs
What's a Drama CD? It's basically a 'radio play' by the voice actors/actresses that expands upon the characters or tells an entirely new story. It's a fairly popular follow-up to anime, manga, and visual novels in Japan that is almost never brought to the West because of the impossibility of preventing reverse-imports. You may have noticed there is no option for full Japanese text in Kindred Spirits: this is such that Japanese customers cannot buy the much cheaper English release.

Most of the Drama CD information is taken from this Liarsoft page:
http://www.liar.co.jp/yuri_news.htm

There were four released:

  1. 『恋人ごっこ』
Pretend Lovers, which features Fuji Ano on the cover, with a character listing of Ano Fuji, Toomi Yuna, Komano Hina, and Miyama Nena.
  2. 『友情プラン』
Friendship Plan, which features Koba Youka and Tsurugimine Kiri on the cover, with a character listing of Koba Youka, Tsurugimine Kiri, Sonou Tsukuyo, Ariu Aki, and Toomi Yuna.
  3. 『夕立キック』
Youdachi Kick (lit. caught in the rain kick? I need someone's help here, lol), which features Maki Seina and Aihara Miki on the cover, with a character listing of Maki Seina, Aihara Miki, Amishima Matsuri, Inamoto Miyu, and Toomi Yuna.
  4. 『九星ラジオ』
Kyuusei Radio (This is the name of the radio show by the trio of Ichiki Umi, Futano Sasa, and Miyama Nena from the game!) and I didn't find a cast list, but appears to be the trio mentioned before in a double set, which I believe is a standard Drama CD set and their radio show from the festival!

Single
They released the single, A.A.Ai! (A A Love!) that Youka sings to Aki at the festival, in addition to the opening and ending songs. Separately, there is the BGM OST.

Original Releases
They released the game 3 times in Japan:

March 30th, 2012 Original release
MSRP: 9,240円
April 25th, 2014 Reprint release
MSRP: ???
June 19th, 2015 Download release
MSRP: 5800円
I don't believe there were any changes to the game's content between the three releases.

You can buy the manga in Kindle.
I'm not sure about Kindle in other countries but I was able to buy Side A on Japanese Kindle app (I haven't bought side B, but you can still buy it).

I love physical copies :( when I have a decent bit of money, I'll import a lot of stuff at once...

Yeah, I sometimes prefer physical copies, they feel like you own it and it look and feels pretty neat, but in other countries sometimes they are hard to obtain, somtimes expensive, book ages, and uses a space in your room. In digital copies you can easily bring the item and read it everywhere (e.g. while travelling). Its pretty much personal preference, how you want to use it and what kind of tablet you own really, I liked side A and I recommend it on both physical and digital copy.

i know the main translator for the game made a tweet very vaguely implying that there was some interest in licensing the yurirei manga for translation, at the very least

but it could have been a joke or just optimistic speculation too. i don't know.

Nice! I'm really hopeful for translations of the drama CDs and spinoff mangas one day! Thanks for compiling all that information.
