Will the steam cards issue ever be fixed?

Title says it all. Are there any plans from the developer to address/offer a solution to this issue, it seems much discussed here. Fingers crossed Double Fine or Steam staff see this post and enlighten us on if this will ever be rectified (or if there is a work-around)

i doubt it, they have never responded to a post about the bug

I asked Tim Schafer about this personally and he gave me a right uppercut on the mouth. As I fell to the ground he said, "You'll take what I give you, peasant.". I held my broken jaw as he strolled away.

We will never get the cards. Ever.
