so i got a reply from gamigo, the german company that bought the assets for AR from trion and sadly they stated they wont be selling out the game?
So now im waiting on a reply asking them to revive the game. Might be a waist of an email but to make them aware lots of us gamers are still active and wanting the game back online might persuade them in the near future to revive the game. Its ludicrous for any company not to release something in particular that was doing well from the start? madness...
Anyway, as for the private server, the people 'in the know' might be releasing a statement soon regarding AR but I cant say more about this cos its a hush hush article but will update if i know of anything ;-)

they should make it free, and ask for money for cosmetics and similar stuff like fortnite does, or even better "path of exile": its possible to play the game for free, but if you support it with money, managing items can be less cumbersome and is possible to mod the characters a lot.

the game could also increase a lot in popularity if they make e-sports events with it, with all the stuff that goes with them (prizes, showbiz, maybe even an animated series but written by great comic book writers, or graphic novel writers rather than hacks, so it has its own value like the castlevania series from netflix).

Companies rarely sell their IP, even if they never intend to use it again. I don't understand the mentality. Right now they are getting zero value of it. Sell it and they could get something. Even an extra $25k would probably look nice on the balance sheets.

I miss this game so much. I was playing the Bleeding Edge beta and the character Gizmo really reminds me of Zuki. RIP.

I actually found that on-going private server. Not sure if i can post links to the dicord there, but it's name is EvoS-AR, search that in net, and i guess you'll find reddit page with link to the discord channel. They don't have *playable* version yet, they said there is no way to go to the practice range, so i guess you can scroll through menu..? didn't tried it yet, so can't say for sure. There are over 300 people in that server rn

Spoke to a few that are on the discord channel using the program but have said its early days till its functional and delivers game play footage we hope and expect.
As for the 'people in the know' they got back to me last week but they don't seem confident the game will release anytime soon.
