What's the D&D scene here like?
1. Do people play D&D in this?

2. Does it have a text chat? Or does everyone use voice chat. I don't want to play if everyone is going to just use voice chat.

3. Is it possible to host a D&D game using a completely homebrew ruleset?

*crickets* You should look to Fantasy Grounds (unless you already know of it) for DnD.

Not for now.

Yes, you can use ingame text chat.

3. Is it possible to host a D&D game using a completely homebrew ruleset?

Maybe this feature will be provided in future.

Thank you for the reply. I'll keep an eye on this and hopefully I can make use of it some day.

Is it a choice of people simply not wanting to play DnD through this yet? Or is it COMPLETELY unsupported? I thought I saw some miniatures and 20 sided dice in the gallery.

All I'd really need to run a D&D game is a set of virtual polyhedral dice and the ability to write character sheets and note cards. Miniatures and dungeon tiles are nice too but not really necessary.

I would bet it's Wizards of the Coast being their normal, extremely greedy selves, wanting a huge pile of money before someone can put "their" stuff in anything.

Ye, most likely so. Not a big fan of WotC. Used to love Magic but I hate the block system and it makes it so you can't even participate in tournaments unless you are willing to shell out hundreds of dollars every few months. As for the D&D side well they screw us every which way on that too.
