How am I *actually* supposed to get this?

I followed a guide here on Steam twice now to the letter, making sure to get every secret, but the achievement for it simply won't register.

I half suspect it might be secret #10 and #11.

For #10, the dripping sound does not start until I exit the basement. Then the guide says to just wait until it stops. Except, it never stops. I even went afk for a full 10min if not more and when I returned the sound was still there.

And for #11, if one gets either of the songs wrong or play it too fast/slow, I am not sure whether one has to restart the entire episode to retry or can just leave the piano/exit the room and try again. I tried both latter options, but again, as the achievement doesn't pop up, I have no way of knowing if I did it right or wrong.

This is so, so frustrating. Impossible to get without SAM?

PS. Just saw something for the first time that I've never seen before that might have an effect. I have the game installed and played it several times already. But it doesn't exist anywhere on my entire system. Not a single file, save or even readme anywhere.

Beats me. I reinstalledthe game and the files in Steam are there, but nowhere can I find a location for the saves oranything like that.

The defaultfolder that is supposed to be in Users > AppData > LocalLow > TheGameKitchen simply does not exist on my system. How in the blue blazes can my game save data when the folder for all the save data, etc. does not even exist? :-/

Yeah, I have the same problem.
I put safe combination backward and squished the bugs in the episode 1. I waited in the hypnothise therapy till, I gave the pedant to the sick woman (getting achievement "Lost in the sea") and heard the moans near the summer house in episode 2. I found the Jesus-wicked man in the lake, checked out tomstone during second gameplay and clicked on the hole like 4 times in episode 3. Finally I listened to the painting's shouting, heard the leaking and played two secret melodies on piano. Is there something I missing?

The achivement with leaking sound is weird. I have no clue if I am doing this right - I have been waiting near the cage, but no sounds, just as I move a little, the drops start to falling. When I thought it stopped after waiting a while, I moved and it started again. I walking around without leaving a house and using a key and finally it stopped again, but I don't know that I get it or messed it up.

About the piano secret music - the speed of the putting notes doesn't matter as long as you get it right. If you messed it up - leave the piano screen and try again. If you do it correctly, immedietly it pops up the quote from "The Monkey Island" or "Indiana Jones".

Hey, I got the achievement! Apperently the secret with leaking sound was a problem. I try again but this time I stand still after get down to the basement. I turned out that you don't have to interact with creature in cage - shortly after I get to the basement the drops started falling. I wait a while, they stopped, I get up on the stairs, quit to the main menu and boom!, achievemtn poped up. :)

Sorry about the uber late reply. I did as you said, and an error popped up that said the location cannot be found and might've been moved or deleted. But nowhere on my entire system does the file exist, yet I have saved progress in the game. Welp, paranormal activity in my pc, I guess...

Man, lucky you, and congrats.

I tried it again, but mine still doesn't work, even though everything was done 100% correctly this time. So SAM it is. I have tried everything humanly possible so it's clearly impossible for me.

Edit. Scratch that, it did finally pop up but neglected to display it until I uninstalled the game in despair. Thank you for your information, it is appreciated.

On my win 11 computer the gamefiles do not exist.
The savegame files must have been changed.

\AppData\LocalLow\DefaultCompany\TLDCE2
