Opening the safe in Ep 1

So this is embarrassing, but how the hell do I open the damned safe in Alexandre's house?

I found the two halves of the messages, discovered the hidden characters and got the 4 digit combination. Now, how do I actually imput it on the safe? The clicking sound doesn't seem to correspond with those numbers at all, no matter the directions. Anyone else had issues with that?

the guide mentions to start moving the dial clockwise and then counterclockwise
so 6 clockwise then 1 counter then 4 clockwise then 5 counter

The cursor should change when around the dial :) if not try to restart the game.

You find 2 notes in that room, 1 partially burned and the other fine. Burn the fine one and join the 2 parts. There will be a latin phrase, and some letters are highlighted. These letters represent 4 numbers (in roman algarisms). Turn the dial clockwise until it reaches the 1st number, then counterclockwise and so on until the last number. Numbers (spoiler): 6145
